This 1915 Underwood Standard typewriter was a recent donation from a typewriter enthusiast from Ritzville, Washington. Thank you for the three donations (two Underwood 5 and one brown Royal HHE)!
This stately guy is typical of the machines in long storage in farm land. Plenty of talcum like dust everywhere. According to the serial number the typewriter was built in 1915 as a model 4. Everything else about the machine screams model 5.
This guy got a thorough cleaning, new rubber feet, new rear paper rollers and a new platen. The Pica type face still comes out nice and clear.
