We bought this 1960 Smith-Corona Electric portable typewriter from the Good Will. When the typewriter arrived it was a bit beat up, broken drive belts and a power cord so damaged we immediately cut it off. People seem to gravitate to this model electric. I know I certainly like the way it types.
Shelley initially started the typewriter service then we had to wait for drive belts. I finally got tired of waiting for our supplier after six months so made some from polyurethane belting. New power cord and works fine.
The typewriter is still a bit beat up, yet it effortlessly puts fine print on the page.
