This 1926 Corona 4 came in for some interesting work. A well used machine, the platen and rollers hard as a rock and heavily indented. The ribbon vibrator and actuator arm were both broken and the ribbon feed was just not working.
I’m lucky to have other devoted fans of the Corona’s and Steve Dade is a gem. He not only recovered the platen and rollers, he found a ribbon vibrator and arm in his collection. Thank you Steve, you saved this machine from the parts bin.
After the repairs, a good cleaning, lubrication, some minor adjustments and this Corona was coming together. A few sticking keys formed into shape and alignment of the upper and lower case letters make this typewriter a joy to use.
