You won’t see a Royal Diana very often, so here is one to share. The customer wanted to get it in running order and was on a budget. In good shape, the only major item to work on was the tab set had become maladjusted.
It came to me with an indigo blue colored ribbon just torn to shreds. I LOVE that color! I’m going to go on the typosphere and see if I can find one that deep dark lovely blue ink. Most blue ink ribbons out there are cyan, as it is a common printer color. I kept the shredded ribbon and put it on one of my testing spools to give me a few moments of joy when ever I test ribbon function. . . sadly I digress.
Mostly, this Diana needed a good cleaning having been sprayed with penetrating oil (damn you convenient oil in a spray can!). After the cleaning and a little oil in just the right places, made a happy and nicely functioning machine.
This is a lovely Royal, and a nice typing machine.
