I love the machines customers bring in for service. This example is a standard Underwood typewriter from 1956. It came in for a complete overhaul; new platen, rollers, you name it, the machine got it.
These are common machines and are excellent typewriters.
What is special about this baby is the 15 CPI typeface, Double Gothic.
I love the decals from the original owner; Pacific Northwest Bell. Types like a demon.
